A missionary family
for the world
We are a missionary community of the Catholic Church, present in 15 countries, made up of consecrated missionaries, priests and lay people. We are dedicated to the proclamation of the Gospel and the formation of missionaries.
Inspired by Jesus' "I thirst" (cf. Jn 19), we exist to proclaim the Gospel with passion and tenderness in contexts where faith, hope and human dignity cry out to be restored. We believe in the impact that the proclamation of the Gospel has in transforming this world, rebuilding man from within.
God entrusts us to collaborate
to build a more just, humane and fraternal world.
We address all God's people, children, adults and families, but especially young people, for whom we have made a preferential option.
We want to be able to train them
so that they themselves can also be
missionaries of other young people.
On September 27, 2002, the Servants of the Gospel of Mercy were approved as a Private Association of the Faithful in Germany by the Bishop of Münster, Msgr. Reinhard Lettmann. Our missionary family was born in the heart of the Verbum Dei Missionary Fraternity.
At present, we are a Missionary Family formed by a Public Association of the Faithful in view of becoming a Society of Apostolic Life (consecrated missionaries) and a Private Association of the Faithful (priests and laity). Both are headquartered in San Miguel (Argentina). The Public Association of the Faithful was approved by Msgr. Damián Gustavo Nannini (Bishop of San Miguel, Argentina) on December 7, 2022.
Our community is made up of
Laity
Lay servants are missionary families, adult servants, celibate servants and young servants in JuSeM mission. They are evangelizers in their work environments and in their families through the witness of their lives and their words. They collaborate in missionary formation in their parishes and assume different pastoral services in the community's own mission.
Priests
They live their vocation inserted in the local Church, placing their ministry at the service of the Church and of the community's own mission.
Consecrated Missionary Sisters
They are totally available for the mission of proclaiming the Gospel and the formation of missionaries. They live in communities where, in a strong climate of fraternal love and mutual commitment, they help each other to keep alive the encounter with Christ, which is the driving force of the mission.
